DEI DEMYSTIFIED:
HOW TO INCORPORATE DEI INTO YOUR WORK (AND LIFE), EVEN WHEN IT’S NOT IN YOUR TITLE
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) work is demanding, evolving, and could easily take years of listening and learning before we feel “ready” to make an impact. It can feel daunting to do this work justice in general, and especially when it’s not the primary focus of your role.
But regardless of our title, these are critical topics to explore and there’s work for all of us to do no matter our identity or background—we all have the power to influence those around us and to create inclusive environments.
Join Willie Jackson (Head of Learning & Development at ReadySet), and Jenny Sauer-Klein (Founder, The Culture Conference) for a candid conversation about bringing DEI practices to life in your own work, especially when it’s not your focus. Jenny and Willie will share about their own personal journeys as DEI advocates, including challenges they’ve faced, the mistakes they’ve made and what they’ve learned along the way.
We will be inviting contributions from participants to enrich the conversation on these complex topics. Our goal is to create a brave space for you to share your hopes and your fears, and to address the things that have been standing in the way of your DEI advocacy.
